War

I am about to declare war. I have resisted all this time and not attacked the moles and voles but I have just had it now. I have been a wuss so far and taken peaceful measures; the worst I tried was to plant Castor Bean trees since I read somewhere that they might deter these vermin.
I noticed holes in the rose bed this weekend. The yard on the side is totally spongy, tunnels every where.
I have either been planting in pots or using permatill around the planting hole to deter voles.I was really upset when they chewed up the roots of all my favorite Hostas; the Blue cadet never recovered. I wonder if they have been destroying the Geraniums and the Heucheras as well.
The next door neighbor places bombs every so often and I have been too soft-hearted to kill ; but enough now, I too will buy bombs and anything else that can get rid of these.I think I will go shopping with her soon.
