Cuts like a knife

Today I did the most difficult of my gardening jobs. I cut down all the grasses. This is hard work - no kidding.
The Pampass was huge and it slices the skin, I wore a long sleeved sweatshirt and long pants and I can see scratches, and they are hurting and burning right now, through all the clothing.
But, it is done now. The Miscanthus were not that bad, but they are getting bigger and meaner too.
Then packing these all into bags was really hard.
After that, I pruned many of the roses. I was so tired that I just randomly cut them down, without paying attention to the pruning rules. I think they will still survive.

I will not buy any new roses this year, they are too much work.
But I want the blushing knockout so bad !!!
Well, maybe one.

I just have one more rose to go now - a huge knockout bush.
Next week, maybe I will cut back all the sedums. I did cut back some of the mums and the tips of the Caryopteris.
Before all this cutting, I hoed away a lot of weeds too. But I finally got tired and sprayed roundup on the bigger patches :(
