The agony and the ecstasy

It has been a long, long week; the work days have been 12 and 13 hours long. And the work does not look like it will ever end - at least not for the next year and a half.
By midday today, I was totally out of juice.
The weather suddenly turned yesterday and the evening was dry, cool and breezy. I worked in the yard till about 9:30 when it finally became too dark. I cleaned up two beds where vinca had taken over and was looking awful. I watered all of the plants, so many just looked dead and wilted since it has not rained in ages and has been very very hot as well.
So,at lunch today I was going stir crazy; I usually go plant shopping on Fridays and decided to tak a quick trip to one of the large box stores. There was a table set up with lots of Coreopsis "Limerock Ruby" and I knew not to be ensnared by its good looks; but passing by it I noticed a few other different plants.I did a a double take when I saw what those were Cosmos atrosanguinea -- Chocolate Cosmos. Never had I imagined finding this plant anywhere, I am so excited, I picked up two pots and then one of Salvia "Santa Barabara" as well.
I am in love - I am in heaven;-
The flowers smell just like a Hershey bar :)
