Take a look at me now
Lasagna bed success :)
Looks great, doesn't it?
And all this in just a few months, with no digging necessary. The secret is piling up lots of organic matter. I started that last fall and by early spring it was ready to plant.I put thick layers of newspaper on the grass, then piled up with shredded leaves and grass clippings, then we kept adding coffee grounds (thanks to Starbucks), banana peels, egg shells, all kinds of vegetable kitchen scraps and here we are now, no fertilizers or any other chemicals were used, and are not needed, as one can see.
