Lambs' ears -Stachys byzantina

Lambs' ears - A mainstay of the garden, great for filling tough spots and providing a nice edging. Tends to take over the place though and I throw away wheelbarrows full every year.It is best to cut off the purple flowers as soon as they appear, they are not too pretty, attract a lot of bees and then you have seedlings sprout up everywhere. Evergreen (ever silver?),just needs a tough comb out early spring to remove all dead, rotting leaves.
Leaves are fuzzy and soft to the touch.
