Cosmos

It is 1 am and I can't sleep. Came down to check election results and don't feel too happy about the way things are going. So cheering myself up by posting this picture I took last week. Even though we are way past our projected first frost date, the weather is really warm and there are many blooms in the garden. All plants are growing into one another, weaving through their neighbors. I do like the chaos of the fall garden beds.
This cosmos, which I started from seed, got really tall this year, I think it is about 10 feet tall now. These flowers are at the midway mark. I always grow cosmos to remember my father. He grew them every year, a whole bed of them and I remember standing next to the plants which used to be all a lot taller than me.
